Global Learning London

Sankofa is a new storytelling project led by Cumbria Development Education Centre, that is working with schools across three countries in Europe to combine traditional storytelling techniques with digital technologies to explore local to global themes.

Thanks to funding from Erasmus+, CDEC is leading a partnership with three other organisations (SOSNA from Slovakia, HEC Global Learning Centre, based in London, and SEVER from the Czech Republic).

Working with schools, the partners are giving pupils the opportunity to gain skills in both storytelling and online recording, editing and sharing across national borders.

Teachers are also developing their skills to prepare children to think critically about local to global themes. Participants are developing their own language and digital skills, as well as their global awareness.

You can find more information about the project, here.
