With migration high on the global media’s agenda, our role as educators is to provide our children with the tools to make sense of this controversial issue. This workshop provides teachers with practical tools to think critically through the migration debate with their children. Participants will walk away with clearer definitions relating to different kinds of migrants, the factors affecting their movement, and where they are moving from and to. We will share activities for the classroom, including an entertaining and informative ‘Snakes & Ladders’ style simulation of a refugee’s journey.
