Philosophy for Children, Level 1 with Certificate, 11 & 25 May 2017 at the Institute of Education
P4C is a powerful methodology for developing children’s thinking skills and exploring challenging subject matter. It can also improve self-esteem, self-confidence and emotional literacy and create a more caring and cooperative classroom environment, empowering children to take control of their learning. P4C fits with the necessary curriculum response to the Prevent agenda as it promotes critical and reflective thinking. Schools undertaking this work can highlight it as an embedded curriculum response.
